Achieve firmer, younger skin
Do you want to get rid of scarring and have firmer, smoother, younger looking skin? DermaPen or Derma FNS is a handheld medical skin needling device, which creates tiny punctures in the surface of the skin to stimulate collagen growth and release serum growth factors. This process tricks the body’s own skin repair system into producing, fresher, newer skin, which will give you a more youthful appearance. It has been shown to be more effective and less painful in comparison to dermarollers.
Expert advice and treatment
Skin needling is extremely effective in providing you with firmer, fresher skin, especially when the treatment is supplied by an experienced and highly trained practitioner. Dr. Bita Fox has been delivering successful rejuvenating skin procedures for 17 years. During your consultation she will explain the procedure and the expected results, with a view to helping you make an informed decision about what you’d like to achieve.
Does skin needling hurt?
Your skin will be numbed with an anaesthetic prior to treatment to make the procedure as comfortable as possible for you. You might find the skin is red for a couple of hours after treatment and the skin might feel a bit tight, but generally no, it's not painful.
When will I see the effects?
You will begin to notice a difference 6 to 8 weeks following treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time.
What does the treatment involve?
After your skin has been numbed, Dr. Bita Fox will move the needle head of the DermaPen over your skin to create the microscopic punctures, which will stimulate collagen growth and give you firmer, younger looking skin.
Is the procedure safe?
Skin needling is very safe. Nothing is being injected into your skin so there is no risk of allergic reaction. There is a tiny chance of infection, as with any treatment that involves a needle, but as long as you follow the simple after-care instructions, the risks are minimal.
How long does the treatment take?
The treatment time depends on the anatomical area, but generally it’s completed within 30.
